I just started working downtown, and have been making my rounds to the new places that have opened up. Talyta's isn't new... it's been there for 5 years, but it's new to me.

I went to Talyta's with some coworkers for lunch. They had tacos and the burrito, and I had a fiesta salad topped with carne asada. The salad was crisp and fresh, with fresh avocado, and delicious lime/cilantro dressing. The carne asada was lean, tender, and packed full of flavor. I was very impressed, and woofed it down toot sweet. My coworkers were also impressed, and we all vowed to return.

I had high expectations based on other's reviews. The thing that really stood out to me was just how fresh everything tasted. It's permanently on my radar.

Good and Simple food. You would get all the usual stuff you expect however do not expect a lot of options. Neither options will blow your mind. 3.5 star actually as they do keep the prices down.
The employees are always smiling and the music is always peppy.
The empanadas are okay however sometimes they can seem to be very greasy although the ingredients feel fresh.
The Quinoa bowl however was good and is a good option for a vegetarian.

Simple lunch place, since this is so close to my work I do occasionally get food from here and will continue to do so.

Talyta's has been on my Yelp list of places to try for some time. I decided to check it out for lunch. Basically that was the best fajita wrap I've ever had. It gave me burrito vibes though. There's not much of a difference, I don't think. The fajita wrap was sooo well seasoned and was the perfect size. It took a while for the order to be complete but it was well worth it. It's a small hole in the wall joint not somewhere you'd go in a first date but the food is so good. It was hard to time while driving. I drove past it twice. You'll likely have to park on another block and walk over. It's across from the Worcester Oval and city hall. There's no AC neither. I'll definitely be returning to try out some other menu items. The service was great. They're really kind people you can tell they care that every meal goes out deliciously.

Very good flavors but lots of iceberg lettuce instead of spinach in the special salad.  Also the Green sauce dressing was tasty and the Pulpas? delicious!

Yesterday night after my workout I rushed over to Talyta's to get food before their posted closing time (7PM), but sadly they were closed when I got there at 6:30PM. So I came back today for lunch and was excited to try their food. It's a small cafe, but very busy during lunch time. Even so, however, the food comes out pretty quickly.

We ordered the pork and cheese pupusa which was filled with yummy melted cheese and pork. It also came with a sauce and a small side of pickled vegetables, which went well with the pupusa. I also got the carnita tacos and the ground beef taco (3 for $7.50- quite the deal!). The carnita was nice and crunchy but lacked enough flavor for me, so I doused some lime, extra cilantro, guacamole ($1.50 extra) and tabasco sauce on it which made it good. The guacamole is yummy and fresh- I peeked into the kitchen and saw them making it nice and fresh from really fresh avocados. I also ordered the chicken flautas, which also lacked flavor to me, so I put some tabasco sauce on it which helped it taste better. I tend to like food on the more flavorful side, so I would definitely have liked the food to have a stronger flavorful taste but overall it was still good. The sweet plantains are delicious. Everything was very affordable and fresh. The nice woman taking our order was very friendly and offers catering services as well.
